The work Untitled (Seated Figure) by Alfred Leslie was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,335.03), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred Leslie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diana in April last year with an auction result of EUR 264,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Seated Figure) von Alfred Leslie wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.335,03) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Leslie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diana im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 264.600,00.
