The work Magic in Egypt II by Alfred Jensen was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 16,510.00 (€ 15,496.53), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heaven; Per I and II in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 477,750.00 (€ 352,973.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Magic in Egypt II von Alfred Jensen kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.510,00 (€ 15.496,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Jensen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Heaven; Per I and II im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 477.750,00 (€ 352.973,77).
