Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Alfred Jensen was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 828.75 (€ 812.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heaven; Per I and II in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 477,750.00 (€ 352,973.77).
