Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Walk Along The Coast by Alfred H. Vickers was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 336.00 (€ 493.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred H. Vickers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The ferry in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Walk Along The Coast von Alfred H. Vickers wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 336,00 (€ 493,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred H. Vickers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The ferry im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.935,00 (€ 6.875,70).
