Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eton College From The Thames by Alfred H. Vickers was sold in the PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS auction at Christies in London in November 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,547.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred H. Vickers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The ferry in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Eton College From The Thames von Alfred H. Vickers wurde im November 2004 in der Auktion PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.075,50 (€ 1.547,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
