Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A river landscape; and Another similar by Alfred H. Vickers was sold in the AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in July 2004. The price achieved of GBP 418.25 (€ 632.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred H. Vickers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The ferry in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70).

Die Arbeit A river landscape; and Another similar von Alfred H. Vickers wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 418,25 (€ 632,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred H. Vickers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The ferry im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.935,00 (€ 6.875,70).
