Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work A Town Along The River by Alfred H. Vickers. The price achieved of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,664.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred H. Vickers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The ferry in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Town Along The River von Alfred H. Vickers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.664,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred H. Vickers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The ferry im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.935,00 (€ 6.875,70).
