Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dandelions by Alexis Rockman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,968.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexis Rockman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hot House in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,465.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dandelions von Alexis Rockman kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.968,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexis Rockman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hot House im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 34.465,58).
