This artwork by Alexander MacKenzie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Penwith (Coastal) sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,679.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander MacKenzie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander MacKenzie erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Penwith (Coastal) für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.679,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander MacKenzie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54).
