Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pednvounder by Alexander MacKenzie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,472.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander MacKenzie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57-, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pednvounder von Alexander MacKenzie kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 15.472,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander MacKenzie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54) versteigert wurde.
