This work without title by Alexander MacKenzie was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,864.00 (€ 5,636.32), 62% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander MacKenzie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alexander MacKenzie wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.864,00 (€ 5.636,32) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander MacKenzie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54).
