This artwork by Alexander MacKenzie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2018. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Rock Form, North Cliffs, Cornwall sold for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,250.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander MacKenzie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander MacKenzie erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Rock Form, North Cliffs, Cornwall für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.250,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander MacKenzie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54).
