Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alexander MacKenzie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 1,764.00 (€ 2,055.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander MacKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander MacKenzie erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 1.764,00 (€ 2.055,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander MacKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54).
