Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grey Coast by Alexander MacKenzie was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,732.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander MacKenzie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57-, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grey Coast von Alexander MacKenzie kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.732,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander MacKenzie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54) versteigert wurde.
