The work Halton Ghyll by Alexander MacKenzie was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,929.72), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander MacKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Halton Ghyll von Alexander MacKenzie wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.929,72) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander MacKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54).
