Sold at the lower estimate price
In June 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Gorby by Alexander Kosolapov. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,147.14) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Kosolapov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work McLenin's, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 73,080.00 (€ 85,802.80).
