Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No Smoking by Alexander Kosolapov was sold in the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,357.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Kosolapov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work McLenin's in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 73,080.00 (€ 85,802.80).
