The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,250.00 (€ 27,686.72), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alex Hubbard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dead In Pompeii in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 98,500.00 (€ 116,426.22).

Die Arbeit Dog Hill von Alex Hubbard wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 27.686,72) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Hubbard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dead In Pompeii im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 98.500,00 (€ 116.426,22).
