This artwork by Alan Saret achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Flora Tresor Carmen sold for USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,307.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alan Saret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 63,000.00 (€ 64,397.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Saret erzielte im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Flora Tresor Carmen für USD 31.250,00 (€ 24.307,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alan Saret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 63.000,00 (€ 64.397,42) versteigert wurde.
