Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fire Spirit Union by Alan Saret was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,512.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alan Saret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 63,000.00 (€ 64,397.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fire Spirit Union von Alan Saret kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.512,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alan Saret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 63.000,00 (€ 64.397,42) versteigert wurde.
