The price achieved of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 207,687.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adriana Varejão have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,301,892.03).
