Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Étoile du Nord by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,158.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 42,299.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Étoile du Nord von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.158,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 42.299,62).
