Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Souterrain by Adel Abdessemed was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2015. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 68,942.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adel Abdessemed - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Klan, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 206,500.00 (€ 263,670.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Souterrain von Adel Abdessemed kam im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 68.942,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adel Abdessemed mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Klan beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 206.500,00 (€ 263.670,67) versteigert wurde.
