Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints, which included the work Paintings, Pots And Prints by Adam Neate. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,543.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adam Neate have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Suicide Bomber in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 78,500.00 (€ 106,668.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paintings, Pots And Prints von Adam Neate zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.543,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adam Neate auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Suicide Bomber im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.500,00 (€ 106.668,18).
