The work Willow Trees And Bird by Zhou Zhimian was worth USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,266.90) to a buyer in March 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Zhou Zhimian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Swallows in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).

Die Arbeit Willow Trees And Bird von Zhou Zhimian war einem Käufer im März 2016 USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.266,90) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Zhimian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Swallows im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69).
