Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Flowers and Birds by Zhou Zhimian. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,678.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Zhimian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Swallows in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers and Birds von Zhou Zhimian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.678,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Zhimian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Swallows im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69).
