The work Birds and Flowers by Zhou Zhimian was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 471,500.00 (€ 43,852.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhou Zhimian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Spring Swallows sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).

Die Arbeit Birds and Flowers von Zhou Zhimian wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 471.500,00 (€ 43.852,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhou Zhimian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Spring Swallows im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69).
