Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers and Birds by Zhou Zhimian was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,565.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Zhimian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Swallows in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flowers and Birds von Zhou Zhimian wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.565,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Zhimian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Swallows im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69).
