The work Birds And Chrysanthemums by Zhou Zhimian was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. It achieved a price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,395.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhou Zhimian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Swallows, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).

Die Arbeit Birds And Chrysanthemums von Zhou Zhimian kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.395,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhou Zhimian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Swallows beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69) versteigert wurde.
