One scroll dated xinchou year of the Wanli era (1601)

The work Birds And Flowers by Zhou Zhimian was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 108,000.00 (€ 11,246.90), 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhou Zhimian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Swallows in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).

Die Arbeit Birds And Flowers von Zhou Zhimian wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 11.246,90) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Zhimian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Swallows im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69).
