Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nizan-Monet by Zhang Hongtu was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The price achieved of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Hongtu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 137,117.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nizan-Monet von Zhang Hongtu wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 35.781,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hongtu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 137.117,37) versteigert wurde.
