This artwork by Yvonne Canu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November last year. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Saint-Tropez sold for USD 17,640.00 (€ 17,088.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yvonne Canu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crépuscule sur Paris in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 118,600.00 (€ 78,093.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yvonne Canu erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Saint-Tropez für USD 17.640,00 (€ 17.088,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yvonne Canu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crépuscule sur Paris im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.600,00 (€ 78.093,11).
