Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Le Pont Alexandre III by Yvonne Canu. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,800.00 (€ 36,617.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yvonne Canu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crépuscule sur Paris, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 118,600.00 (€ 78,093.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Pont Alexandre III von Yvonne Canu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.800,00 (€ 36.617,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yvonne Canu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crépuscule sur Paris beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 118.600,00 (€ 78.093,11) versteigert wurde.
