Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Harvesting by Yuyu Yang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 260,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,532.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yuyu Yang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Advent of the Phoenix in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 2,047,500.00 (€ 178,988.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Harvesting von Yuyu Yang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.532,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuyu Yang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Advent of the Phoenix im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.047.500,00 (€ 178.988,97).
