Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Advent Of The Phoenix by Yuyu Yang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 478,800.00 (€ 51,263.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuyu Yang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Advent of the Phoenix, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 2,047,500.00 (€ 178,988.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Advent Of The Phoenix von Yuyu Yang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 478.800,00 (€ 51.263,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuyu Yang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Advent of the Phoenix beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 2.047.500,00 (€ 178.988,97) versteigert wurde.
