This artwork by Yukinori Yanagi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2000. In the Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Pacific sold for USD 17,625.00 (€ 18,894.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. This high result makes Pacific the most expensive artwork by Yukinori Yanagi that we have observed at auctions so far.
