Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Expanse (mask) by Yuan Fang was worth USD 88,900.00 (€ 81,769.68) to a buyer in March this year. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuan Fang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seeding 05, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).

Die Arbeit Expanse (mask) von Yuan Fang war einem Käufer im März diesen Jahres USD 88.900,00 (€ 81.769,68) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuan Fang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seeding 05 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30) versteigert wurde.
