This artwork by Yuan Fang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Battleground 05 sold for HKD 381,000.00 (€ 46,074.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yuan Fang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seeding 05 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yuan Fang erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Battleground 05 für HKD 381.000,00 (€ 46.074,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Fang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seeding 05 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
