This artwork by Yuan Fang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Corporeal Loop 03 sold for USD 57,150.00 (€ 52,392.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yuan Fang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seeding 05 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yuan Fang erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Corporeal Loop 03 für USD 57.150,00 (€ 52.392,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Fang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seeding 05 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
