Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Expanse (Overgrown) by Yuan Fang was worth HKD 478,800.00 (€ 57,769.05) to a buyer in September this year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century Art Sale at Christies in Shanghai and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Yuan Fang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seeding 05 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).

Die Arbeit Expanse (Overgrown) von Yuan Fang war einem Käufer im September diesen Jahres HKD 478.800,00 (€ 57.769,05) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale bei Christies in Shanghai erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Fang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seeding 05 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
