In June 2016 Ketterer in Munich held the auction Kunst nach 1945 II, which included the work Bottle with Lemons and Red Wall by Yozo Hamaguchi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,375.00 25% above the estimate. Admittedly, works by Yozo Hamaguchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 35,828.25).
Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2016 führte Ketterer in München die Auktion Kunst nach 1945 II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bottle with Lemons and Red Wall von Yozo Hamaguchi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.375,00 und damit 25% über dem Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yozo Hamaguchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roofs of Paris (M. Gallery 42) im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 35.828,25).
