Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scholar’S Rock In Ciyin Temple by Yong Rong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 61,781.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Yong Rong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2021 the work Scholar’S Rock was auctioned for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 79,280.79).

Die Arbeit Scholar’S Rock In Ciyin Temple von Yong Rong wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 61.781,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Yong Rong konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2021 die Arbeit Scholar’S Rock für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 79.280,79) versteigert.
