Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yong Rong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy After Song Masters sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,636.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yong Rong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scholar’S Rock, which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 79,280.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yong Rong erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy After Song Masters für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.636,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yong Rong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scholar’S Rock beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 79.280,79) versteigert wurde.
