It achieved a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,585.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Admittedly, works by Yong Rong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scholar’S Rock in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 79,280.79).

Die Arbeit Retreat to the Mountain von Yong Rong kam im November 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.585,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yong Rong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scholar’S Rock im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 79.280,79).
