This artwork by Yoan Capote achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September last year. In the New Now auction, the work Rational sold for USD 32,760.00 (€ 33,486.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yoan Capote have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Isla (in memoriam) in September last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yoan Capote erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Rational für USD 32.760,00 (€ 33.486,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yoan Capote auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Isla (in memoriam) im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76).
