Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yoan Capote achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2020. In the New Now auction, the work Racional sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,335.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yoan Capote - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Isla (in memoriam), which sold at auction in September last year for USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yoan Capote erzielte im März 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Racional für USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.335,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yoan Capote mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Isla (in memoriam) beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76) versteigert wurde.
