A top price for Yoan Capote - as previously expected
In September last year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Isla (in memoriam) by Yoan Capote. The price achieved of USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 220,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Isla (in memoriam) is the most expensive artwork by Yoan Capote that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Isla (in memoriam) von Yoan Capote zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Isla (in memoriam) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yoan Capote, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
