Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Palangre (muro de mar I) by Yoan Capote. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 42,500.00 (€ 36,418.17). Admittedly, works by Yoan Capote have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Isla (in memoriam) in September last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Palangre (muro de mar I) von Yoan Capote zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 42.500,00 (€ 36.418,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yoan Capote auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Isla (in memoriam) im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76).
