The work Peacock by Wu Yisheng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. It achieved a price of HKD 84,000.00 (€ 9,190.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wu Yisheng; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Peacocks sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,261.73).

Die Arbeit Peacock von Wu Yisheng kam im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 84.000,00 (€ 9.190,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wu Yisheng; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Peacocks im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.261,73).
