A top price for Wu Yisheng - as previously expected
The work Peacocks by Wu Yisheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,261.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Peacocks is the most expensive artwork by Wu Yisheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
